An Unusual Antique Brass & Glass Microscope,
A brass and glass rectangular-shaped antique microscope designed for the preparation of exhibition materials or pictographic slides designed to be viewed under magnification. The cabinet, sealed by a hinged door, allows for remote manipulation and arrangement of microscopic objects. The slide is protected from air currents and dust during the construction process.

Microscope features an ocular stationed at the top and two inset cutaways at either side of the top wall which allow for one to view the stage, which can be moved left and right via a mechanism at one side or tilted via a lever at the other side.

The front of the microscope opens via a brass door. A mechanism at the back allows movement for a tilting mirror which provides light to the ocular.

Also included are two glass slides.

Measurements: H: 14 x W: 14 x D: 6 1/8 in.
