4to. Rebound quarter green cloth on paper boards. With cloth bound book sleeves. Gilt title on spine.

Vol. 1: xxii, additions and corrections, 758 pp., with illustrations, 43 plates (2 chromolithographic).

Vol. 2: xii, 733 pp., with tables, 15 plates with index to both volumes.

Each volume is H: 11 1/2 x W: 9 3/4 x D: 3 1/8 in. Fair to poor. Title page of vol. 1 uncut at top edge. Tear to page vii, and plate 43 separating at hinge. Corners, covers, and edges bumped, scuffed, and rubbed with slight losses. Vol. 2 majority of pages on top edge uncut. Tear on margin 619 pp., and plate 1 of vol. 2 nearly completely separated.

Slight soot on edges and scent of smoke throughout.

Stamp: "Herschel Library Collingwood."

Bookplate: "Dr. Sydney Ross."
